Roughage (hay, chaff, pasture etc) should be fed at 1-1½% of bodyweight. Amounts above are a guide. Total daily feed (concentrate + roughage) should be 2-3% of bodyweight depending on age, workload and climate. Refer to the exercise calculator to determine classification of workload. The feeding guides are for temperate climates. In humid climates increase the amount of Yearling Prep®. As a guide a Mitavite Dipper holds approximatley 1.2kg of Yearling Prep®.
