SUPER AMINO 66®
Super Amino 66 is 'the most concentrated high protein
supplement ever created'. It has the correct or "horse-perfect" essential
amino acid profile for horses. We call this "Horse
Perfect Protein" (HPP). The name comes from superior
essential amino acid profile and 66% protein.
Semi-synthetic
proteins have been produced for several years for nutrition
of debilitated people. It is only in the last year or
so that the technology has advanced sufficiently that we
can do it economically for valuable animals. It will be several
more years before it is viable for feedlot-type animals.
Correctly balanced feeds such as Mitavite have the "horse-perfect" EAA
profile, and when used according to directions provide appropriate
high quality protein for normal, healthy, well-muscled horses.
It has been possible, with correct science, to get the right
amounts of EAAs into a complete feed. To get them in serious

Orphan foals
There
is no way to get a palatable serious parcel of EAAS, vitamins
and trace minerals into the small package required for infants
that even comes close to Super Amino 66
The foals of poor milkers.
There is a large
population of mares in the domesticated horse world that
any self-respecting dairy farmer would have put down the
blood-and-bone chute after her first calf/foal. These miserable
mothers (around 20% of the population, and growing) continue
to produce because breeders compensate for / hide their
maternal defects. The foals of all of these mares need
Super Amino 66 to get them on a level playing field.
Poorly muscled
yearlings & other horses
Original Mitavite research demonstrated that the way to
get more muscle and less fat in horses is the same way
as it is in any other animal - increase the EAA:Energy
ratio in the diet.
Normally this can be achieved using the higher protein
Mitavite feeds, but in some cases an EAA boost with Super
Amino 66 is the simplest solution.
Backward weanlings
One of the problems
which must be solved for backward weanlings is appetite.
That's why Super Amino 66 contains "Anazolic",
a proven appetite stimulant. The vitamins, trace minerals
and "HPP" in a small package provides the most
compact "catch-up" possible.
Recuperating horses (either illness
or injury)
The reason that recuperating animals
(of any species) lose weight, even in spite of good nutrition,
is that their own body protein (i.e. muscles etc) is the
perfect rebuilding and repairing material. Because Super
Amino 66 is so close to "HPP", the building blocks
can come from the diet instead of off their backs. There
is no other way to help with such a small, palatable dose.
