GROUND BREAKING SUPPORT PROGRAM FOR STUDS!
Friday, November, 12th. Gosford. NSW.

The National Stockfeed Manager for Ingham's Enterprises, Graeme Dillon and Mitavite's National Sales Manager, Colin Price today announced the introduction of a program to benefit bloodstock producers - a program the likes of which has not been seen in the horse industry before.

The challenges facing breeders and studs in today's market are significant and growing!" Price stated. "Cost escalations, erratic raw material supply, increasing concerns over incidence of OCD and the advent of Pre Sale X rays are just some of the issues impacting on productivity/profitability and in some cases, stud and stallion reputations."

In addition, "the ability to assimilate technological development and the benefits of scientific research remains a challenge in itself and often goes unexploited" suggested Price.

Increasingly today, companies are looking towards, if not mergers and acquisitions, co-operative relationships with a synergy to produce benefits unable to be achieved alone. For many progressive operations the 'us and them' mentality of 'customer and supplier' has been shelved in favour of an association which has mutual benefits and shared end goals.

From a supplier's viewpoint, having a vested interest in a customer's success must be more than just an expression of words.
It must be backed by a level of service which truly involves 'going the extra mile'.

Price went on to say "at Mitavite there is unchallenged expertise in nutrition and allied to this, a large repository of knowledge and experience pertinent to the heart of stud operations. This encompasses the maintenance of stock health for stallions and broodmares from both veterinary and nutritional considerations and managing the growth and correct development of the stud's life blood - weanling and yearlings."

The Company's expertise is now being brought to bear through a company funded initiative called the "Mitavite Centaur - Nutrition Support Program".

In planning for a number of years one of the Centaur Program's strengths is its ability for adaptation to the specific requirements and practices of individual studs. A flexibility to fit with stud skills, resources and facilities makes it a unique asset for achieving improved standards and positive results.

A highly practical program, 'Centaur' benefits include data management and reporting services, soil and pasture laboratory testing, nutrition analysis/management, up-to-date information transfer and a means for reducing consumable costs and results measurement and other support measures.

An extensive briefing has been prepared for studs which enables identification of the best way the Program can be integrated into individual operations to achieve optimum results from broodmare, weanling and yearling stock.

Graeme Dillon added that "whilst we would like to make the Centaur Program available to every stud now, as the Company was bearing the cost. this would not be economically viable, so the annual participation numbers have to be controlled. The Centaur Program for any given stud will be an ongoing commitment and as such cumulative numbers of participants will grow each year".

If your stud is interested in the advantages and benefits the Program might provide over the coming 12 months, and longer, it would be wise to arrange an early appointment for a visit by a Mitavite Representative.
